Hardy Sovereign 9ft #6/7 Trout Fly Fishing Rod – Made in England – Original Bag

✅ DESCRIPTION

A superb Hardy Sovereign 9ft trout fly fishing rod, presented in very good original preloved condition and supplied in its original Hardy cloth rod bag.

This classic Made in England Hardy is a high-quality 2-piece fly rod, measuring 9ft and rated for #6/7 weight fly lines.

The rod features a traditional cork handle and remains in lovely original condition throughout.

Importantly, it has never been broken, rewhipped or repaired.

Both the tip and butt sections are matching and were originally marked with the number “23”, providing a nice indication that these are the correctly matched sections. On the butt section, part of the painted number “2” has worn away over time, as clearly shown in our final HD photograph.

This is purely cosmetic and has no effect whatsoever on the rod's use or performance.

A cracking example of the classic Hardy Sovereign and a lovely traditional trout fly rod, with the quality and character associated with these older English-made Hardy rods.

✅ CONDITION NOTES

The rod is in very good original preloved condition and has clearly been well cared for.

There are naturally some minor signs of previous fishing use, handling and storage consistent with its age, but overall this remains a very nice original example.

Both the tip and butt sections are marked “23”. However, on the butt section, part of the paint forming the number “2” has worn away, as clearly shown in the final photograph.

This is cosmetic only and does not represent damage to the rod.

The rod has never been broken, rewhipped or repaired.

The original Hardy cloth rod bag is included and may naturally display some minor signs of age, use and storage.
